A Multifunctional Reflective Polarization Transforming Surface With In-Band and Out-Band Transmission Characteristics
Bibliographic record
Abstract
This letter introduces a first-ever multifunctional, bianisotropic surface that provides polarization transformation in the reflection mode as well as out-of-band transmission in theL,S, andCfrequency bands. In the reflection mode, when theX-polarized waves are incident from the +Z-direction, the proposed surface converts them into theY-polarized wave [(13.3 to 15.2) GHz] and left-hand-circularly polarized [(10.56 to 11.8) GHz] and [(16.7 to 19.3) GHz] waves. In addition, the surface exhibits partial reflection behavior without altering the polarization of incident waves from the –Z-direction. Unlike conventional surfaces, it incorporates a defective ground plane, thus allowing in-band transmission in the linear-to-linear and linear-to-circular frequency bands. Furthermore, the surface maintains a stable response against oblique incidence angles of up to 60$\circ$. The proposed surface with both reflection and transmission properties stands as a promising candidate for a wide range of microwave applications.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
