Abstract
Ces dernières années, les contes (storywork) sont devenus une source incontournable pour certains chercheur.e.s en droit au Canada. L’auteure fait ici le récit de certains travaux de recherche et d’enseignement du droit faits à l’Université de Victoria, située sur les terres des peuples Songhees, Esquimalt et Wsáneć (en Colombie-Britannique, au Canada), la première faculté de droit au Canada qui enseigne de façon comparative le droit des Premières Nations (indigenous law) et la common law canadienne. Passant par une analyse de l’article « Nomos and Narrative » de Robert M. Cover, l’auteure montre ici de quelle façon l’étude des contes (storywork) peut influencer non seulement l’enseignement ou la recherche, mais également la connaissance et la critique du droit.
