Abstract
Les initiatives se multiplient au sein des écoles de gestion pour intégrer une éducation aux grands enjeux sociaux et environnementaux actuels et pour amener les étudiants à envisager un autre rapport au monde. Peu de recherches se sont attardées aux impacts de ces initiatives sur les étudiants. Nous avons mené une étude qualitative auprès d’étudiants qui ont suivi un cours sur la « décroissance » dans un programme de maîtrise d’une grande école de gestion québécoise. À partir d’un cadre sociologique inspiré des travaux de Berger et Luckmann, nous analysons les « chocs biographiques » vécus par ces étudiants à l’occasion de ce cours qui les a bousculés, et les effets de ces chocs sur leurs vies personnelle et professionnelle à court, moyen et long termes. Nos résultats soulèvent plusieurs questions concernant la manière de former des étudiants en gestion aux grands enjeux environnementaux et sociaux.
