Abstract
Les difficultés qu’éprouve l’école québécoise à assurer l’éducation écocitoyenne des élèves appellent à considérer aujourd’hui les apports d’autres acteurs éducatifs. Parmi ces acteurs se trouvent les membres de groupes écologistes. Cet article traite des actions éducatives posées par le Mouvement d’action régional en environnement, afin de mieux en comprendre la nature et de déterminer comment un groupe écologiste comme celui-ci peut contribuer à l’éducation écocitoyenne d’élèves d’écoles primaires ou secondaires. Pour y parvenir, cette étude présente les types d’actions que pose ce groupe, les types de contextes éducatifs en jeu et les publics cibles de ses actions, mais aussi les types de citoyenneté priorisés, les collaborations réalisées et la portée géographique des actions éducatives entreprises.
