Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

We present terahertz time-domain spectroscopy measurements of titanium nitride as a function of temperature in the superconducting state. By employing a maximum-likelihood analysis method developed by our group, we demonstrate that the Mattis-Bardeen theory of disordered superconductivity can describe the complex frequency-dependent conductivity <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\tilde{\sigma}(f)$</tex> at each temperature with only one free parameter, the temperature- dependent energy gap <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\Delta(T)$</tex>. Our results provide a quantitative test of Mattis-Bardeen theory and demonstrate the advantages of our maximum-likelihood analysis framework.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
