Abstract
Zusammenfassung Der massive Rückgang der Artenvielfalt ist spätestens seit der Verabschiedung des Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework 2022 in der breiten Politik und Öffentlichkeit angekommen. Dem europäischen Gesetzgeber gelingt nun mit seiner Verordnung über die Wiederherstellung der Natur ein Meilenstein des Naturschutzes, der an die Schutzkonzepte der Vogelschutzrichtlinie und der Flora-Fauna-Habitat-Richtlinie anknüpft und diese durch unmittelbar verbindliche Ziele flankiert. Der hiesige Beitrag stellt die wesentlichen Inhalte im Überblick dar.
