Abstract
Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan tentang makna dan konsep-konsep Islam berkemajuan dalam pandangan Haedar Nashir. Artikel ini dirangkum dalam model kualitatif dengan teknis analisis data ekploratif, interpretatif dan analisis. Adapun temuan dari penelitian ini yaitu makna Islam berkemajuan dalam pandangan Haedar Nashir adalah mencerminkan semangat untuk reformasi dan modernisasi dengan tetap memperhatikan nilai-nilai Islam yang memiliki akar kuat. Di samping itu, ia juga mendorong pendekatan yang kontekstual dan inklusif dalam menafsirkan ajaran Islam, yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan tantangan zaman yang ada. Adapun konsep-konsep yang dikembangkan terkait dengan Islam berkemajuan yaitu reinterpretasi terhadap pendidikan yang berbasis pada kecerdasan kehidupan bangsa; kepemimpinan profetik yang berbasis pada kenegarawanan dan religiusitas; toleransi sebagai bagian dari ta’awun yang mengantarkan pada kebahagiaan umat; keadilan yang berasas pada distribusi yang adil dan merata; dan moderasi beragama sebagai sumber rahmat bagi alam semesta
