Abstract
This paper aims to compare Canadian far-right political parties9 messaging around climate change and fossil fuel extraction to that of fossil-fuel industry and associated citizens9 advocacy groups.Both sets of groups have long been associated with climate denial and delay.This study examines the Facebook profiles from 2015, 2018, and 2022 of the People9s Party of Canada, the Conservative Party of Canada, and their respective leaders, and those of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers, Canada Action, and Canada9s Energy Citizens.
