Este estudo investigativo explora as tensões contemporâneas na cidade de São Paulo, focando na relação entre resistência, experiência, integração e reflexão no contexto urbano. O objetivo foi destacar como a cidade, entendida como um campo de práticas cotidianas, interage com a paisagem ao seu redor. A pesquisa combinou teorias e observações de campo, analisando três áreas principais da capital paulista: o Parque Ibirapuera, o Largo do Arouche e a Vila Butantã, conhecida por construções de contêineres. A análise provocou discussões sobre o verdadeiro significado da cidade, especialmente quanto à resistência à diversidade em espaços públicos e privados. Essas resistências refletem as tensões urbanas, manifestadas por indivíduos e grupos que estabelecem suas territorialidades. O estudo questiona como essas dinâmicas influenciam o entendimento do que realmente é a cidade, diante das diversas formas de resistência que moldam o ambiente urbano.
