Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The following project was exhibited at TMU in Toronto (2022) and UTK in Knoxville (2023). Kędzior explores interiors as dynamic spaces animated by habits and dreams, the formlessness of sound and atmosphere, and the intensities of cultural life. This project explores three different scales of interior in three series: Pillows, Planets, and Piazzas. The Pillow scale is a set of diagrams that treats the pillow as a material index of dreams and deals with the psychic interior. The Planet scale is a set of musical notations in relation to the topography of Mars as a speculative atmospheric interior. The Piazza scale imagines alternate configurations of Nolli maps of Rome, focusing on social interiors. The three series are iterative diagrams that stretch the understanding of interiors and gesture toward publics that are yet to come.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
