Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran pemikiran Rene Descartes dalam kajian rasionalisme dan sinergitasnya pada pendidikan Islam. Melalui analisis ini dapat diidentifikasikan titik nilai-nilai pemikiran Rene Descartes dapat diterapkan atau bersinegritas dalam konteks pendidikan Islam untuk mencapai pemahaman lebih mendalam dan harmonis. Dengan menggunakn metode penelitian kepustakaan yang digunakan dalam studi ini, didapati bahwasanya Descartes adalah seorang filsuf dan matematikawan Prancis abad ke-17 yang dikenal melalui karyanya yang berjudul "Meditasi Mengenai Filsafat Pertama". Dimana karya ini memberikan kontribusi besar terhadap pemikiran epistemologi dan metodologi ilmiah. Dalam perjalanan pemikirannya, Descartes mencoba meragukan segala sesuatu yang dapat diragukan dan mencapai simpulan terkenal, "Cogito, ergo sum" (Saya berpikir, maka saya ada). Pernyataan ini menjadi dasar bagi pemikiran epistemologisnya, di mana ia mencoba membangun pengetahuannya berdasarkan landasan yang pasti dan tak terbantahkan. Meskipun pemikiran Descartes memunculkan kontroversi, warisannya tetap memberikan pengaruh besar dalam perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan, filsafat, dan metodologi penelitian modern salah satunya bersinergitas pada pendidikan Islam. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemikiran rasionalisme Rene Descartes berpengaruh dalam hal ranah pendidikan Islam meliputi pemahaman akal, pengetahuan pasti melalui metode keraguan, integrasi pengetahuan, dan pembuktian yang jelas dan tepat, berpikir kritis.
