Comment les protocoles anciens ou réinventés peuvent-ils contribuer à une décolonisation des pratiques d’arts vivants chez les artistes autochtones? Comment peuvent-ils nous permettre de nous relier à nos langues et aux concepts précolombiens qu’elles gardent vivants? Ce que nous sommes et ce que nous serons ne sont pas ce qu’on a fait de nous. Nous avions, comme tous les peuples de la terre, notre théâtre. Comment rapatrier ou s’inspirer des formes non occidentales des théâtralités issues de nos cultures anciennes? Les protocoles sont les bâtons de marche qui pourront nous guider vers des redécouvertes ou des découvertes enracinées dans ce que nous sommes vraiment. Ils nous guideront vers des théâtralités si nécessaires en ce seuil de l’effondrement écologique et du devenir de l’humanité.
