Sitona linaetus(L.), Pea Leaf Weevil / Charançon rayé du pois (Coleoptera: Curculionidae)
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Sitona lineatus , the pea leaf weevil, is a pest of field peas and faba beans in the Canadian prairie provinces. Both the adult and larval stages damage the host plant and can contribute to yield losses, but the larval feeding is thought to be more damaging. Systemic neonicotinoid insecticides can be used to manage pea leaf weevil and some cultural control tactics have been studied in the United States and Canada. A synthetic, male-produced aggregation pheromone, for example, could be leveraged for attract-and-kill strategies. A diversity of parasitoids have been found to attack the eggs and adults of S. lineatus , but few are highly host specific. No parasitoids have been reared from S. lineatus collected in Canada; however, generalist predators have potential to contribute to biological control of S. lineatus and the chapter reviews those predators and conservation biological control.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; both teacher heads agree on what is shown here.
