Myriophyllum aquaticum(Vellozo) Verdcourt, Parrot’s Feather / Myriophylle aquatique (Haloragaceae)
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Parrot’s feather ( Myriophyllum aquaticum ) is an internationally important aquatic weed, first reported in Canada in 1980. Parrot’s feather is highly competitive in slow moving, shallow waters. In invaded areas, M. aquaticum clogs waterways, displaces native vegetation, negatively impacts diversity and impedes recreation. Prospective biocontrol agents include an undescribed species from the genus Lysathia and Listronotus marginicollis , which damage parrot’s feather in its native range. Lysathia sp. has proven to be an effective biological control agent in South Africa. This chapter reviews ongoing host-specificity testing of Lysathia sp. The chapter also reviews the biology of a weevil, Phytobius vestitus , that is native to North America and thus far seems host-specific to the genus Myriophyllum , as well as Galerucella nymphaeae , another native species also found damaging parrot’s feather in North America.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; both teacher heads agree on what is shown here.
