Performance Analysis of Receive Diversity RIS and RPM Assisted Index Modulated Communication System
Bibliographic record
Abstract
In reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) aided communication implementing space-shift keying at the transmitter for index modulation, the RIS is proposed to perform the dual function of selecting the phases of the reflecting elements optimally according to the phases of the channel gains, and acting as a modulator by transmitting <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$M$</tex>-ary phase-shift keying (PSK) modulated symbols via reflection phase modulation. The target antenna at the receiver is chosen by utilizing the optimal maximum likelihood (ML) detection rule and a hardware- and energy-efficient greedy detector, which performs detection based on the maximum received energy. For these detection scenarios, closed-form expressions for the probability of erroneous detection (PED) of the target antenna are derived, considering Nakagami-<tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$m$</tex> channel fading. Numerical results supporting the analytical framework show the role of the rotation of the <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$M$</tex>-PSKconstellation to improve the reliability of the system. In particular, <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\pi/M{-}$</tex> rotated <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$M$</tex>-PSK constellation is optimal for the greedy detector, whereas the ML detector is not dependent on such rotation to yield minimum PED.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one teacher head, not a consensus.
