Abstract
Dans l’ensemble des systèmes de services à la jeunesse, le comportement des jeunes fait l’objet d’une attention prioritaire et d’une surveillance considérable. Dans les approches sensibles aux traumas, les comportements des adolescents.es sont considérés.es comme la pointe de l’iceberg, indiquant des modifications associées aux expériences traumatogènes sous-jacentes. Nous avons recueilli les récits d’expériences d’états d’hyper- et d’hypoactivation initiée par des stimuli environnementaux chez 16 adolescents.es ayant subi de la violence familiale et leurs stratégies variées de régulation de l’affect. Les résultats issus des expériences vécues sont en accord avec les trois concepts centraux des approches sensibles aux traumas — les modifications adaptatives au stress, la régulation de l’affect et l’attachement — à la suite d’expositions traumatogènes. Les résultats démontrent le besoin d’intégrer les approches sensibles aux traumas dans notre façon de soutenir les adolescents.es en situation de vulnérabilité.
