Abstract
Il presente studio si propone di sondare la complessità problematica della necromanzia nel recente romanzo, Prima di noi, di Giorgio Fontana, non senza richiami alla più vasta produzione dell’autore, nella convinzione che il rituale mantico di evocazione dei morti connoti questa come altre opere gravitanti nell’orbita del Familienroman, programmaticamente teso allo sconfinamento transgenerazionale. L’ipotesi interpretativa consente di “elevare” lo statuto del genere – di cui note sono le ibridazioni con altri modi confluenti, più che contigui – a un’autentica cosmogonia che, nella serrata interrogazione del presente, contempla il “prima di noi” come cifra, coscienziale e storica, fondante. Il lavoro intende analizzare, dunque, la necromantica del possibile, agìta nelle sue articolazioni stratificate, ovvero nella tensione rammemorante, onirica e immaginativa, che intesse il fitto dialogo tra i vivi e i morti, a illuminare, quando possibile, la costellazione che sostanzia ogni famiglia e le sue narrazioni.
