Este artigo explora o impacto do governo liderado por Lula na mobilização dos movimentos sociais contra a fome no Brasil. Ele destaca como o legado político de Lula transcendeu as fronteiras da política tradicional, influenciando diretamente as organizações da sociedade civil e os esforços para combater a fome e a pobreza. O estudo examina as políticas implementadas durante os governos Lula (2003-2010), como o programa Fome Zero e o Bolsa Família, e como essas iniciativas contribuíram para fortalecer e energizar os movimentos sociais dedicados a essas questões. Além disso, o artigo analisa a relação entre o governo e os movimentos sociais, destacando tanto os momentos de cooperação quanto de conflito. No geral, destaca-se o papel significativo do governo Lula na promoção da mobilização e na conscientização sobre a fome e a desigualdade social, sinalizando um legado que vai além do âmbito político tradicional.
