Abstract
In 1974, the first international festival of Francophone youth Superfrancofête was held in Quebec. During this historical period, the French–speaking province of Canada is taking active actions in the international arena in the field of culture, science and education, developing both bilateral relations with foreign countries (primarily with France) and being a participant in major international forums. The Superfrancofête festival aimed to unite young people from different countries around the French-speaking musical culture. Almost half a century later, in 2022 and 2023, Quebec is once again hosting an international music festival with the same name, hosting participants from 12 countries. The article analyzes the content and main themes of the three festivals, which are important for understanding the components of modern Québec culture.
