The article analyzes for the first time the long-term diverse activities of one of the foremost Soviet and Russian scholar on Canadian studies V.A. Koleneko (1943–2011) in the leading academic domestic periodical "American Yearbook" He was a member of the editorial board, the author of brilliant articles on the history of Canada, Russian-Canadian relations at the turn of the 19th–20th centuries, a translator of articles written by Canadian authors, a publisher of unique archival documents and other important materials.
