В статье анализируется комплекс эпиграфических памятников Троицкого Макарьева Калязина монастыря, сложившийся в последней четверти XVIII–XIX вв. и отразивший основные этапы формирования местного почитания Серапиона, митрополита Крутицкого, Сарского и Подонского. Святитель был уроженцем города Кашина, монашеский постриг принял в Калязине монастыре, здесь же и скончался на покое 2 мая 1653 г. Почитание митрополита Серапиона началось в 1779 г. Основу агиографического комплекса составили эпитафии CIR4049 и CIR4050, в начале XIX в. комплекс пополнила плита с «историческим портретом» святителя (CIR4108), еще позднее — надгробная надпись CIR4109. The paper analyzes the epigraphic monuments of the Trinity Makariev Kalyazin monastery of the last quarter of the 18th–19th centuries, reflecting the main formation stages of local veneration of Serapion, Metropolitan Krutitsky, Sarsky and Podonsky. St. Serapion was a native of the town of Kashin. In the Kalyazin monastery, he took monastic vows, retired, and died on May 2, 1653. Veneration of Metropolitan Serapion began in 1779 after the miraculous healing of a merchant from St. Petersburg. The basis of the hagiographic complex included the epitaphs CIR4049 and CIR4050. At the beginning of the 19th century the complex was supplemented by a plate with a “historical portrait” of the saint (CIR4108), and later — by a tombstone inscription CIR4109.
