Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The latest progress at the University of Calgary on the Multipurpose Uncrewed Fixed-wing Advanced Supersonic Aircraft project is presented. The project's goal is to develop and flight-test a small-scale supersonic uncrewed aerial vehicle. The aerodynamic design is introduced, and its performance is assessed using computational fluid dynamics and the OpenFOAM software package. A low-speed prototype intended for demonstration of the supersonic configuration was constructed and tested. Controllability is explored with a six-degree-of-freedom mathematical model, and aspects of the model are assessed using the observed aircraft's response to various inputs. In direct comparison, limited flight test results showed agreement with model predictions. Objectives for future testing of the next low-speed prototype include increasing elevon size to improve control authority in pitch, and improving the thrust-to-weight ratio.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
