This paper describes experimental results on the effects of DC discharge plasma on small-scale supersonic jet. Experiments were conducted in a supersonic wind tunnel with a laval nozzle installed, and DC discharges were conducted near the upper and lower walls of the nozzle outlet at 500 mA. In order to verify the effect of the DC discharge on the jet field, focusing on changes in the pressure field and jet direction, the stagnation pressure distribution was measured and the jet field was visualized using the Schlieren method. In this paper, the results of these experiments are summarized and reported for back pressure ratios of 0.01 and 0.035. No significant difference in the amount of change in the stagnation pressure distribution was observed regardless of the discharge position, and the same results were obtained for the jet direction. From the above, it can be concluded that a power consumption of 163 and 177 W does not lead to active control of the supersonic jet field.
