Au terme de deux mois de transition après la courte victoire électorale de Lula au Brésil le 30 octobre 2022, le sac de l’Esplanade de Brasília a rappelé au nouveau gouvernement qu’il n’avait pas partie gagnée. Il s’en est fallu de peu que ne réussisse l’attaque du siège des institutions fédérales. Ce scénario a avorté dès que la police s’est soumise aux nouvelles autorités fédérales pour reconquérir le terrain. Le fiasco des autorités de Brasília débouche sur la gestion directe de la sécurité par le gouvernement et sur la mise à pied de centaines de fonctionnaires. Notre analyse à chaud tente de décrypter ce que cet événement nous dit des divisions d’un pays qui doute profondément de ses institutions.
