Abstract
This practitioner commentary explores the cultural dimensions of university student development, based on personal reflections on student management practices in China and Canada. The essay aims to advocate intercultural learning of student development among student service professionals, both to deepen the understanding of our own practices through intercultural comparison, and to improve the inclusivity of our services to an increasingly globalised student body.
