Abstract
L’insertion socioprofessionnelle des travailleurs autochtones au sein d’organisations québécoises, notamment celle encadrée par ententes régionales ou nationales, présente plusieurs obstacles. Le cas rapporté dans ce texte porte sur la description des caractéristiques et des effets d’une pratique d’accompagnement en insertion socioprofessionnelle qu’Hydro-Québec a mis en place afin de contrer ses obstacles : un stage avec coaching pour les travailleurs cris. La nature de la recherche commandait l’élaboration d’un cadre dans lequel pouvaient s’articuler des méthodologies de recherche occidentale conventionnelle en sciences humaines et d’autres, autochtones, qui sont présentées particulièrement. Enfin, des résultats suggèrent que l’expérience s’est révélée extrêmement complexe dans sa mise en œuvre, notamment en lien avec des aspects des relations interculturelles, que l’accompagnement du coach a su minimiser.
