This paper introduces a 3D transmitting cylindrical conformal meta-lens designed for height-to-phase-controlled electromagnetic beam control, specifically Orbital Angular Momentum (OAM) generation and beam-steering functionalities. Comprising 40 × 20 independently tunable unit cells using 3D printing, the meta-lens achieves full 360° phase compensation. CST Microwave Studio is employed for unit cell and full structure analysis, with a probe antenna illuminating the meta-lens. The proposed antenna achieves both OAM modes generation and beam-steering by evaluating necessary phase compensations for each meta-atom. Simulation results demonstrate two distinct OAM beam scanning techniques—single-beam and dual-beam steering—at different angles. This capability can be extended to enable wider 2D beam scanning, showcasing the meta-lens as a potential low-cost candidate for high-gain beam-steering mm-wave communication systems.
