This article introduces a new miniaturized UHF RFID antenna optimized for functionality within metallic environments like shipping containers, pallets, carts, and transportation vehicles. The aim of this kind of antenna is to be used for identification. The geometry comprises a dipole antenna bordered by two hexagonal resonators H-SRR (Hexagonal Split-Ring Resonator), loaded with a T-match network used to provide a good match of input impedance matching between the antenna and the chip. The tag is designed and manufactured on a rogers 4350B substrate with an overall size of 75 <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathrm{x} \ 35 \ \mathrm{x}$</tex> 1.524 mm<sup xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">3</sup>, this proposed tag is matched to an UHF Alien H4 micro-chip which has an impedance <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathrm{Z}_{\text{chip}}=23.27- j203.35 \Omega$</tex> at <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$868\text{MHz}$</tex> with −20.5 dBm sensitivity. Based on the simulation, it is estimated that the maximum reading range is over 9.8 m with an EIRP of 3.3 W.
