TE50 Mode SIW Waveguide-Fed Yagi Antenna Array Operating at 5.8 GHz
Bibliographic record
Abstract
This paper presents the design of a Yagi antenna array fed by a Substrate-Integrated Waveguide (SIW) in TE50 mode, specifically tailored for a frequency of 5.8 GHz. This study contributes to the advancement of Yagi antenna technology by introducing an innovative approach based on the utilization of SIW waveguide in TE50 mode. This innovation opens promising prospects for applications requiring efficient directional communication at 5.8 GHz. A T-type microstrip power divider positioned on the upper side serves as a power port, supporting TE50 mode. Additionally, two slots located on the underside along the third line of the SIW are used to perform an electromagnetic field transformation, facilitating TE50 mode excitation. This configuration offers significant advantages, such as simplified fabrication, reduced manufacturing costs, and improved performance stability by relaxing manufacturing tolerances. The judicious use of the upper mode in the SIW contributes to optimizing antenna efficiency while offering appreciable economic and operational benefits. The Yagi-Uda antenna array fed by the TE50 mode presents a wide bandwidth and maximum simulated gain exceeding 10 dBi.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
