Nos últimos anos, o interesse pela leitura na tela aumentou significativamente, o que indica que mudanças no suporte podem refletir no comportamento do leitor. Diante disso, este artigo objetiva analisar as percepções dos jovens sobre a leitura no impresso e no digital. Para tanto, realizou-se um recorte dos dados recolhidos em uma tese em andamento no Programa de Pós-graduação em Estudos da Linguagem. Logo, enfocam-se as respostas de estudantes do último ano da escolarização de dois contextos – cinco escolas públicas brasileiras e uma portuguesa - dadas a um questionário on-line. Como procedimentos metodológicos, realizamos uma pesquisa exploratória de cunho qualitativo. Como resultados, observamos que os jovens prezam pelo livro físico por diferentes motivos, mas estão abertos a novas experiências leitoras na era digital.
