Abstract
Algerian-born, Montreal-residing film and television director Bachir Bensaddek discusses the transnationality of his work in general and his 2016 feature film Montréal la blanche in particular. Bensaddek also ponders the current realities and challenges of making films today, and the increasing presence of ethnic minorities, non-native French speakers, and First Nations characters on Quebec’s screens.
