La lucha contra el olvido después de la Guerra Civil en El Salvador (1980-1992) resalta la urgencia de apoyar el trabajo de los archivos de memoria histórica. Este artículo examina el papel fundamental desempeñado por la Mediateca del Centro Arte para la Paz (CAP), ubicado en Suchitoto, El Salvador, como un espacio abierto de consulta de información digital, dedicado a la preservación y accesibilidad de archivos relacionados con la Memoria Histórica. Este centro se presenta como custodio de valiosos documentos, propios y donados, los cuales abarcan desde el patrimonio cultural e histórico institucional hasta contribuciones de terceros con derechos de autor. Posicionamos el trabajo del CAP dentro de un marco de archivos comunitarios, prácticas informadas sobre el trauma y justicia transicional.
