Abstract
Andrology is well-established as a medical discipline that studies primarily the male genital system, with a special focus on treating and managing the various aspects of men's sexual and reproductive health.It might, however, be less well known that in today's world, the field of andrology does not belong entirely to any one particular medical or surgical specialty.Rather, it is fragmented into several different and quite often poorly communicating specialties, including urology, endocrinology, reproductive biology, clinical and laboratory andrology, genetics with a focus on translational reproductive medicine, dermatovenerology, sexology, psycho-sexology, nutrition, and dietetics to name a few.As a clinical discipline dealing with male health, andrology also addresses the broader issues affecting men's health beyond that of their reproductive health, such as prostate disease, testicular cancer, and hormonal issues specific to men.The goals of andrology are
