Abstract
Renewable energy in hybrid microgrid system have significant impact on production of electricity. It keeps varying with changing weather condition which makes the system unstable. To deal with this issue the projected work investigates frequency control in a coordinated manner by the use of an appropriate control approach. The interconnected hybrid system is modelled using a combined solar gas turbine, solar photovoltaic and biodiesel energized generator, together with refrigerator as the thermostatic load. Dynamic Butterfly Optimization Algorithm (DBOA) along with PID controller is applied to augment the gains of the controller for effective frequency control. Later, sensitivity analysis is carried out to authenticate the system robustness.
