To enable and manage Teams Phone effectively within your organization, policies are essential. The policies detailed in this chapter influence several key features, including how calls are routed, the presentation of the caller phone numbers during PSTN calls, and the management of incoming calls. Additionally, dynamic emergency calling completes the phone system by routing emergency calls based on the current location of the Teams client and enabling notifications to security personnel. In countries like the United States and Canada, stringent regulations on emergency call routing make configuring these settings particularly crucial.
