Abstract
이 연구의 목적은 우리나라와 캐나다 체조교육의 효과와 문제점을 체계적 문헌 고찰을 통하여 살펴봄으로써 체 조교육에 대한 인식 및 운영방법 그리고 체조교육의 활성화를 위한 정보를 제공하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 ‘기계 체조’, ‘체조교육’, ‘동작도전’ 등의 검색어를 조합하여 구글 학술검색 서비스를 이용하여 체조교육과 관련된 문 헌을 검색하였다. 우리나라와 캐나다 체조교육을 비교․분석하기 위해 2023년 8월부터 2024년 5월까지 캐나다 초등학교와 공공스포츠센터, 체조클럽을 직접 방문하여 참가대상, 운영기간 그리고 체조교육 프로그램을 관찰하 였다. 자료수집은 우리나라와 캐나다 체육과 교육과정, 문헌검토, 연구자의 연구노트, 선행연구 자료를 수집하고 분석한 결과, 캐나다의 체조교육은 2세부터 부모와 함께 신체적․심리적 교감을 위해 체조교육에 참여하는 것으로 나타났으며, 2세부터 참여하는 체조교육은 초등학교 체조교육과 연계 되어 교사들의 수업부담을 줄이고 체조교 육의 효과를 높이는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 보다 많은 어린이들이 체조교육에 참여할 수 있도록 환경을 개선 하고 체조교육에 대한 연구 개발이 진행되었다. 특히, 체조교육의 활성화를 위해 초등학교, 공공스포츠센터 그리 고 체조클럽이 함께 운영되는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 캐나다는 학생들의 전인적 성장과 일상생활로 전의 그리고 다른 스포츠 종목의 기초적 기술을 향상시키기 위해 체조교육에 참여하는 것으로 나타나, 우리나라 체조 교육의 효율적 운영을 위한 참고자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
