Abstract
This paper examines the intersection of international trade law and international environmental law, with a particular focus on marine law as a critical point of contact. It explores the current utilization and protection of marine resources within the context of international trade, highlighting the significant environmental impacts and governance challenges that arise. The paper provides a comprehensive analysis of existing international treaties and agreements, their implementation processes, and the limitations faced by international institutions in resolving conflicts effectively. Through an in-depth examination of key international agreements such as UNCLOS, the Paris Agreement, and the Montreal Protocol, the paper identifies gaps and challenges in the current framework. It emphasizes the need for improved coordination and cooperation among nations to balance economic development with environmental sustainability. The paper also offers practical recommendations for enhancing international trade and environmental laws.
