Este artículo examina el surgimiento y la evolución del concepto de violencia político-sexual (VPS), desarrollado principalmente por colectivos feministas chilenos. Traza las raíces del término en la lucha contra la impunidad y la búsqueda de justicia en el Chile postdictatorial, en especial en el contexto de la tortura y la violencia sexual durante el régimen de Pinochet. Grupos feministas como el Colectivo Mujeres Sobrevivientes Siempre Resistentes han trabajado para visibilizar el papel del Estado en la perpetuación de la violencia sexual como una herramienta política contra mujeres y cuerpos feminizados. Este concepto aborda cuestiones más amplias de violencia, incluidas las dimensiones económicas, coloniales y ambientales. Los autores destacan que la VPS no se limita a incidentes aislados de violencia sexual, sino que está profundamente arraigada en las políticas y prácticas estatales. El análisis también explora cómo la VPS refuerza estructuras patriarcales, capitalistas y coloniales. El artículo subraya la importancia de reconocer y procesar la VPS como una forma distintiva de violencia estatal y llama a la resistencia colectiva para desafiar estos sistemas.
