Abstract
Esse texto analisa o lugar da fenomenologia da religião no contexto brasileiro. Em primeiro lugar, o artigo indica que a fenomenologia da religião está além da fenomenologia filosófica e da noção de Sagrado de Rudolf Otto. De maneira sistemática, na segunda parte, o texto indica quatro características fundamentais que constituem a fenomenologia da religião. Por fim, aponta possibilidades para o futuro da fenomenologia da religião, destacando seu uso como metodologia para estudos empíricos, sua conversão em estudo sobre linguagens da religião a partir da virada linguística e a importância de um giro decolonial para captar as estruturas da religião vivida nas margens.
