Abstract
À la fois médicales et genrées, les violences gynécologiques et obstétricales sont commises par le personnel de santé sur des patientes au cours de leur suivi gynécologique, de grossesse ou lors de leur accouchement. S’ancrant dans l’expérience de femmes et de personnes victimes, les autrices ont mené cette étude qualitative exploratoire au Québec auprès de neuf femmes cisgenres et d’une personne non binaire. L’article documente leurs réactions au moment des violences et les tactiques mises en place à court, moyen et plus long terme pour leur survivre, les reconnaître, ne plus en revivre, protéger les autres et se reconstruire.
