Este artigo investiga como psicólogos no Brasil percebem o acolhimento psicológico e a psicoterapia com refugiados. Foram entrevistados 32 psicólogos, sendo 18 psicoterapeutas e 14 psicólogos atuando no acolhimento psicológico. Os participantes indicaram facilitadores e obstáculos em oito níveis diferentes: paciente, profissional, relação, dispositivo clínico, abordagem, contexto brasileiro, contexto do paciente e contexto do profissional. Os obstáculos incluíram a falta de intérpretes e de preparo para a inclusão dos refugiados, a desconfiança dos pacientes e atuação num contexto precário e xenófobo. Os facilitadores incluíram uma relação terapêutica baseada na confiança, a competência cultural dos psicólogos e o trabalho em redes. Aponta-se a necessidade de campanhas antidiscriminação, de políticas inclusivas aos refugiados e de investimentos em serviços de saúde mental.
