Abstract
L’intelligence artificielle (IA) offre de multiples possibilités pour une analyse des paysages urbains, mais elle ne permet pas le saisi de la diversité des points de vue et des appréciations différenciées et situées de la qualité de l’espace public. Pour le moment seules les approches ethnographiques classiques en sont capables. Soumettre la qualité de l’espace public au prisme de l’IA devient ainsi une démarche à explorer et à creuser. Le projet que nous avons développé puise ressource dans les enjeux préalablement assortis. Une IA est alors créée pour évaluer la qualité des espaces publics à partir d’un lot d’images représentatives de la richesse du paysage urbain Montréalais. L’approche suivie s’appuie sur les pensées de l’urbanisme participatif tout en s’adossant sur les opportunités offertes par l’IA. Cette proposition se focalise sur la mise en évidence de l’utilité et de la pertinence des approches IA pour concevoir la ville. Elle a pour objectif d’apporter une réponse concrète pour une meilleure qualification et une meilleure production d’un urbain inclusif.
