Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The purpose of the study is to review the correspondence of Mykola Plaviuk, Ukrainian state and public-politician, the last head of the UNR Government in exile, that was transferred to the TsDAHOU by The Olzhych Foundation in 2024; to analyze the information potential and scientific value of this epistolary for the study of the social and political life of Ukrainians in the second half of the 20th century in exile and in Ukraine in 1991–2011; to determine the degree of representativeness. Based on these letters, to identify new data on Plaviuk’s activities in various spheres of public life. The methodological basis was the use of the general principles of historical research - historicism, objectivism, systematic analysis, as well as biographical and prosopographic methods. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that these documents have not yet been made publicly available to researchers, and this review is the first attempt at a scientific analysis of this correspondence and its introduction into scientific circulation. Conclusions. The article deals with only a part of Mykola Plaviuk’s epistolary heritage. Based on a comprehensive analysis of the correspondence, it can be concluded that the documents of Plaviuk’s personal archive transferred by the The Olzhych Foundation to the Central State Archives of Public Organizations and Ucrainica will be an important addition to the National Archival Holdings of Ukraine. The documents are of great historical value, have a significant information potential, contain a lot of diverse interesting information about the socio-political, cultural, and scientific life of Ukrainians in exile; the organization of everyday life and leisure, economic and charitable activities in the second half of the 20th century, as well as events in Ukraine during the first 20 years of restoration of its state independence. At the same time, these documents open up new knowledge about certain pages of M. Plaviuk’s biography, his thoughts on the ways of development of the political process in Ukraine, his psychological state, and his attitude towards political opponents. References: 1. Antonovych, M. Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
