Abstract

Nos últimos anos, o governo federal ampliou a oferta de cursos de graduação na área de Tecnologia da Informação (TI), especialmente ofertados em Campi localizados no interior dos estados brasileiros. No entanto, a representação feminina nesses cursos ainda é significativamente baixa, refletindo desafios sistêmicos de gênero. Surgiu então, em 2014, o projeto InfoGirl na Universidade Federal do Ceará em Quixadá (UFC-Quixadá), buscando apresentar para alunas do ensino médio a área de TI. Com uma década de atuação, o projeto visa promover a equidade de gênero nos cursos de graduação em TI, especialmente naqueles ofertados pela rede federal de ensino superior no estado. Este artigo tem como objetivo apresentar o panorama educacional em TI no Ceará; o histórico do projeto InfoGirl e os resultados de uma pesquisa realizada com graduandas da UFC-Quixadá.
