Síndrome de Cronkhite-Canada: relato de caso e revisão da literatura

Abstract
Introdução: A síndrome de Cronkhite-Canada (SCC) é uma entidade clínica rara, com marcantes achados cutâneos associados a polipose do trato gastrointestinal. O seguinte estudo tem por objetivo relatar caso clínico desta patologia, bem como realizar revisão da literatura sobre o tema. Métodos: Foi realizada consulta ao prontuário e compilados dados clínicos, laboratoriais, radiológicos e histopatológicos. A revisão literária foi feita através de artigos indexados às principais bases de dados bibliográficas médicas. Resultados: Paciente de sexo masculino, 64 anos, internado com histórico de importante perda ponderal associada a diarreia crônica nos últimos 6 meses. Desconhecia outras comorbidades e histórico familiar de doenças gastrointestinais. Ao exame físico, era notável a hiperpigmentação cutânea, distrofia ungueal e alopecia. À avaliação endoscópica, foi evidenciada pancolite e espessamento do pregueado gástrico e duodenal, com aspecto polipóide. A análise histopatológica de lesões gástricas e colônicas evidenciou processo inflamatório crônico inespecífico que, associado aos achados clínicos, indicam o diagnóstico de SCC. Conclusão: A síndrome de Cronkhite–Canada possui um amplo leque de diagnósticos diferenciais no espectro das doenças gastrointestinais, especialmente as poliposes, com manifestações cutâneas associadas. O diagnóstico precoce é muito mais importante devido ao elevado índice de mortalidade associada a malignização destas lesões.
