Dans cet article, je tenterai d’examiner les différents lieux développés par les créateurs dans le domaine de la musique en réseau sur Internet. À cette fin, je propose d’observer plusieurs représentations spatiales — espaces distribués, espaces virtuels, espaces réticulaires et espaces mixtes — qui constituent le cadre imaginaire et éphémère des nouveaux lieux dans lesquels se réalise la musique. J’aborderai ensuite la question de l’espace public dans la musique en réseau sur Internet à travers la question suivante : que devient la notion de la salle de concert comme lieu idéal classique de représentation publique de l’œuvre dans une musique qui se déploie dans le nouveau continent électronique ?
