Abstract
Abstract: Hylas, the protagonist in a para-narrative of the Argonautic journey, is a hero who embodies a transformed epic heroism and a new poetic aesthetics in the Hellenistic era and who was a subject of particular fascination in the Latin literary tradition. Dracontius, at the end of the classical era, revisits the Hylas myth as he consciously engages with the poetics of change and narrative fluidity. Hylas, le protagoniste d’un récit parallèle au voyage des Argonautes, est un héros qui incarne un héroïsme épique transformé et une esthétique poétique nouvelle à la période hellénistique ; il faisait également l’objet d’une fascination toute particulière de la part de la tradition littéraire latine. À la fin de la période classique, Dracontius revisite le mythe d’Hylas en y alliant poétique du changement et fluidité de la narration.
