Abstract
Considerando a crescente influência da transição alimentar na saúde bucal de crianças e adolescentes indígenas, este estudo objetiva analisar seus impactos, identificando os principais fatores de risco e a relação entre o consumo de alimentos tradicionais e industrializados com a ocorrência de problemas bucais. Para tanto, realizou-se uma revisão integrativa da literatura, abrangendo estudos publicados entre 2004 e 2024. Os resultados evidenciaram a alta prevalência de cárie dentária associada à incorporação de alimentos industrializados na dieta, bem como a necessidade urgente de políticas públicas que considerem as particularidades culturais e sociais dessas populações, promovendo o acesso a serviços odontológicos e a educação em saúde bucal. Conclui-se que a transição alimentar representa um desafio significativo para a saúde bucal de crianças e adolescentes indígenas, demandando ações intersetoriais que valorizem os hábitos alimentares tradicionais e incentivem escolhas alimentares saudáveis, a fim de garantir o bem-estar integral dessas comunidades.
