Abstract
Chen Minsun is a professor emeritus and former chairman (1978-1984) of the Department of History, Lakehead University, Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. He received his B.A. degree from Qinghua University and his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Chicago. His research interests include Sino-Western contacts and Canada-China relations. He is one of the co-editors of “China Insight” (1985), “East Asia Insight” (1988), and “East Asia Inquiry” (1991), all published by the Canadian Asian Studies Association in Montreal.
