Abstract
Pada maklah ini saya membahas pandangan altematif terhadap Sawerigading. Di kalangan masyarakat Laujé Sulawesi Tengah yang tinggal di Kecamatan Tinombo Teluk Tomini, Sawerigading bukanlah seorang tokoh Bugis, tetapi putera asli Laujé. Dalam paparan selanjutnya saya mengkaji transformasi dari tokoh Bugis menjadi tokoh Laujé, dan apa makna yang terungkap di balik transformasi tersebut tentang pengaruh Bugis di sebuah kerajaan pesisir di Sulawesi Utara yang berada di luar wilayah politik Sulawesi Selatan.
